Hey skiers and riders!
Happy 2019! Heres to hoping Mother Nature blesses us with some powder one of these days! While there may not be any snow in your backyard, there is plenty at ski areas all over NY and with temps dropping this week, lots of snowmaking will be happening!
This past week I traveled to Buffalo to see some friends. I then of course, headed to Holiday Valley to make some turns! I love visiting Ellicottville. The cute shops and restaurants are awesome and of course the Ellicottville Brewing Company is one of my favorite places to visit.
I love the energy at Holiday Valley, everyone is filled with excitement and you see smiles everywhere. I headed up to the third floor of the lodge, where the view is awesome, booted up, and headed to the slopes.
Even with all the rain we have had, conditions were pretty good, and every skier and rider I spoke to was so excited to just be on the slopes! I live by the motto, “Any day on the mountain is a good day” and it seems like that is how everyone else felt too. The love for Holiday Valley is shown by every guest and employee. Most of the trails and chairs were open, so the lift lines were moving quickly.
My absolute favorite part of the mountain is the Tannenbaum Express Quad Lift, and the trails Mistletoe and Ballet. I love the tall trees and how they hover over the trails. The trees are so majestic and beautiful, it feels like you are actually skiing in the woods.
January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month and January 11th is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Day! Holiday Valley has some awesome deals all month long, but on January 11th the Learn to Ski or Snowboard package is just $25! The Beginner’s Package includes – beginner’s lesson, beginner’s lift ticket and rental equipment for skiing or snowboarding, for ages 6 and up. Check out your local mountains for more Learn to Ski and Snowboard Day deals!
Thanks for a great day Holiday Valley!
Ski ya on the slopes!
